We are very excited to share our first set of 3D printed prototype nest and anvil designed to handle more than one variant of curtain hooks for one of our current projects. These hooks are ultrasonically welded to a polypropylene material as part of a process to assemble a medical curtain.
We 3D print these parts to finetune their geometry to save time and cost, as the nest and anvil will be manufactured out of a high-cost material, stainless steel. We used a washable photopolymer resin because of its high-quality finish and easy post-print clean-up procedure.
