QM Systems would like to welcome Senior Mechanical Engineer Andy Watson to the QM family. Andy began his professional career as an apprentice designing furnaces and handling equipment for Cast Houses & foundries in the aluminium industry. Andy progressed to work for a new start-up business that specialised in renewable energy, using a process known as gasification, which converts waste material into gas which is then fed through a turbine to produce electricity. Challenging himself further, Andy moved on to a company designing product handling systems, used in various industries such as Automotive & Modular Building Construction.
In his spare time, Andy worked for “2Country Radio”. This involved hosting shows, photography, managing social media and often he would have the opportunity to interview well-known artists such as Lady A. Andy and his wife are big fans of renovating properties and seeing the end result. When Andy finally puts his feet up, he loves to sit back and watch the thrills of F1 and Moto GP racing.
