QM Systems would like to welcome a Senior Mechanical Engineer Bryan Jones to the QM family. Bryan began his professional career in engineering studying at Hereford Tech college for an OND awarded in Mechanical and Electrical engineering and at Cardiff Metropolitan University for an HND awarded in Product Innovation and Manufacturing. He left full-time education and started at his first company designing vandal resistance taps for schools and prisons. To further his education, he studied a twenty-six-day course with Solid Solutions to be awarded a SolidWorks Passport and studied a twelve-week NEBOSH course awarded in Level Three Management in Health and Safety.
Bryan recently worked on a project developing bedroom pods for a modular housing company. He reduced the manufacturing time of each bedroom pod from two and a half days to half a day. They successfully streamlined the manufacturing process by designing common parts into each pod variant, building pods in batches and increasing the efficiency of data transfer between the design office and the shop floor.
In his spare time, Bryan enjoys spending time with his wife, twin daughters and Alaunt puppy called Bella. Bryan also enjoys the thrills of riding his Suzuki GSX-R750 through the summertime. When he finally puts his feet up, he enjoys immersing himself in playing an MMO game called World of Tanks Blitz and re-watching RED Dwarf.
